Our Flatbed Development Program can put you on the road to success. With a valid CDL-A and at least one year of OTR experience or six months flatbed experience, you can participate in our two-week training program designed to prepare you for a bright future as a flatbed company truck driver.
Benefits of completing the Flatbed Development Program
- Pay increase: starting pay of $.51 CPM, $.52 CPM after six months and $.53 CPM after one year
- Average of $70,000 annually
- Increased weekly minimum pay at 30 days if driver meets applicable conditions. If conditions are met, weekly minimum pay will be $1,200 for 30 days to 2 years of employment and $1,300 for more than two years of employment
- Pay-for-Performance Plan which allows driver to earn up to an additional $600 each four-week pay period
- Practical miles, short-haul, tarp, detention, layover and increased breakdown pay
- Guaranteed 34 hours of weekly home time but most average 46 to 53 hours

CDL-A flatbed truck driver Flatbed Development Program requirements:
- Certification of completion from an accredited CDL training school as well as a certification of completion of over-the-road training
- No chargeable DOT accidents in the previous three years
- No more than one moving violation in the previous three years
- No more than one preventable chargeable accident in the previous three years
- At least 12 months CDL-A experience with less than six months of flatbed experience or less than 12 months CDL-A experience with at least six months of flatbed experience
CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver Flatbed Development Program includes:
- One week of in-class orientation and hands-on training
- One week of OTR training with driver trainer
- Load securement and tarp testing
- Successful completion of a road test
